Two more DC Comics superheroes get confirmed for Injustice 2
We were all waiting on word for some new reveals from SDCC 2016 and thankfully we got two new character announcements.
At Comic-Con today, Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios announced that both Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle will be a part of the Injustice 2 roster.
The new additions were revealed at the game’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con and also by DC Comics’ Twitter feed. Joining the game for the first time is the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle {Note: it was not officially confirmed Jaime would be the Blue Bettle, but the armored version of the character shown would strongly suggest it}.
The first trailer for Injustice 2 has arrived and it introduces a new character into the fold-Supergirl will join the fight in this highly anticipated sequel! Wonder Woman was included in the original Injustice: Gods Among Us, although Blue Beetle is completely new to the series.
As it appears so far, the roster for Injustice 2 will be pretty big and filled with some more obscure comic book characters.
“Injustice 2” is now not associated with a release date, but it is speculated that the much-awaited game will hit the shelves sometime in March next year.
When asked whether Red Hood could possibly make an appearance in the game, studio head Ed Boon said only that there was “absolutely a chance”.
Injustice 2 is scheduled to release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017. The game will feature an equipment system where players can upgrade and customize the look of each individual character.
