Two Palestinians stab Israelis in West Bank, are shot
Later on Friday, a Palestinian tried to run over Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank and was shot dead, the army said. Israel says that would provide an incentive for the Palestinians to refuse to compromise.
Many were killed during purported attacks on Israelis, while others were gunned down during protests.
The suspected assailants are Palestinian boys ages 14 and 15 from the West Bank town of Beitunia, near Ramallah, Israel Police said.
A disturbing number of attackers have been young teenagers.
Israeli security forces shot dead a Palestinian man on Friday after he stabbed two police officers outside Jerusalem’s walled Old City, police said, as a wave of heightened violence persisted into its fifth month. His accomplice and cousin Ahmed, 13, was hit by a auto as he fled, hospitalised and later charged with attempted murder.
The injured officers by stab wounds to the upper body were treated on the scene by Magen David Adom medics and evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in the city.
The 33-year-old is reportedly on the verge of organ failure after only consuming tap water and occasionally minerals and vitamins.
