Two Teens Injured In Lime Rock Go-Cart Crash
A spokesman for Lime Rock told Jalopnik.com that five teenagers broke into the park to race the go-carts. At some point, two of the five teens, exact ages unknown, crashed near pit lane.
Police say a 15-year-old girl was hospitalized at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford with head and torso injures.
The boy, also 15, was taken to Sharon Hospital for treatment of head and arm injuries.
According to officials, injuries were reported but they are not sure how many people were involved. No events were scheduled for Tuesday night. He couldn’t speak to whether the business is pursuing criminal charges or a civil case against the teens, but there was “significant property damage”, McCoy said.
Local newspaper The Republican-American reports that two teens were rushed to the hospital, one via helicopter, after the crash occurred last night at 8:34 p.m. The sanctioned event is on Friday and Saturday.
