Tyler Perry Shares Emotional Video Tribute for Bobbi Kristina Brown
The tribute video starts with a quote from Krissi: “I hope you feel my love, pain, beauty, agony at times, blessings all the time”. No one understands me.
The daughter of recording artist Bobby Brown died at the age of 22 while under hospice care in July after months in a medically induced coma.
“The Houston estate asked if I would share this tribute that I put together for Bobbi Kristina’s private funeral”, Perry wrote on Facebook Friday.
Bobbi Kristina was the only child between Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown.
The tribute was also set to Whitney’s song “You Were Loved”. Authorities found prescription drugs in the suite and evidence of heart disease and cocaine in her body but determined her death was an accidental drowning. She was buried in New Jersey subsequent to Houston.
Bobbi Kristina was discovered within the townhome she shared with Nick Gordon, an orphan three years older than her, whom Houston had raised as her personal. Her family is still waiting on toxicology reports to determine the official cause of her death. E!
The intimate service for Bobbi Kristina, held at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, included loving tributes from her family and performances from Cissy Houston and Monica.
Bobbi Kristina grew up within the shadow of her well-known mother and father.
“Goodbye for now”, reads the final line of the tribute. “God bless”, Perry said in a message accompanying the video, which featured photos of Brown with her family in happier times. Houston’s “You Were Loved” from The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack plays in the background.
