Tyler, the Creator cancels Reading & Leeds appearances
Californian rapper Tyler, The Creator has cancelled his performances at Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend.
Look, Tyler himself held down the shift key and declared: “DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES I WONT BE PLAYING READING, LEEDS, BELFEST AND OTHER SHOWS IN THE UK”.
Tyler, The Creator has pulled his Belfast Limelight and Dublin Academy gigs, which were meant to happen respectively tonight and tomorrow. He added: “I’m sorry”. If that’s not enough for you, BABYMETAL make a massive announcement, You Me At Six play a show in a shop, and Motionless In White’s Chris Motionless tells us about the songs that saved his life.
Reading and Leeds festival tweeted that the cancellation was “beyond our control”.
Tyler canned the Australia leg of his Cherry Bomb World Tour amid protests led by Collective Shout, which campaigns against the objectification of women and sexualization of girls.
It’s not yet been made clear if the Belfast or Dublin shows will be rescheduled.
Tyler recently pitched the idea of a collaboration to former One Direction singer Zayn Malik.
