Earlier, the provincial government of Ilocos Norte declared the entire province under a state of calamity after the storm did P457 million worth of damage.
Based on initial report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), over 40,998 individuals or 9,402 families, covering 136 villages in Ilocos Norte are now affected due to flash flood.

Typhoon Ineng is the ninth typhoon to have entered the Philippines this year.
Three villages of Puro, Pantay-Tamurong and Villamarin the municipality of Caoayan and the barangays of Oribin, Dammay, Calumbayan Casiber and Rancho in Santa town, all in Ilocos Sur were also isolated due to the collapse of the Calungbuyan Bailey Bridge.
Eight of the fatalities were from Benguet, while the remaining two were from Ilocos Norte and Mt. Province.
The province is now under signal number one. Some 163 homes were damaged in vehicle and Regions 1 and 2.
