UAE Likely to Deport More Indian Nationals Over Alleged Links to ISIL
Recently, a Muslim group named Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM), chose to launch a campaign on social media platforms, against Islamic State (IS) ideology which is spreading fast among Muslim youth. The sources also said these nine Indians, with suspected ISIS links, were identified to UAE authorities who acted promptly.
The youths, Anaz, 22, and Aromal, 23, natives of Kilimanoor in Thiruvananthapuram district and Adoor in Pathanamthitta district respectively, were grilled by central agencies, including NIA and RAW, and state agencies Special Branch and IB, after they alighted from the Dubai-Thiruvananthapuram Ethihad Airlines. But he was released by the police after they found no evidence to confirm the links. Four youth of Kerala origin have been deported from the UAE.
Two other persons who were deported earlier this month were also let off by the police.
According to Indian main stream media, four men alleged supporters of Islamic State (ISIS) were detained in Kerala at teir arrival from UAE at airports. The probe was launched after the youth approached the police.
