Ubisoft Sales Decline, Xbox One Games Underperforming – Xbox News
While we’d expect the PS3 and Xbox 360 to continue to bring in revenue, it’s odd and a bit sad to see the Xbox One trailing so far behind.
Rumblings of the changing status of ZombiU first came when people noticed that the game appeared to have been rated by the Australian Ratings Board and had undergone a name change to Zombi.
It’s unclear what kind of visual update the game might get considering it’s jumping to better-performing hardware, and we have no screenshots from the new versions yet. Where once Nintendo stood as the proud winners of the Console Wars, they had fallen by the wayside, bloodied, bruised, and still trying to convince the video game buying public that they wanted to play a new Metroid game.
“It’s a real challenge to create those types of games”, he continued. That process is usually reserved for outright hits, while ZombiU, as Ubisoft said, doesn’t meet that definition.
Ubisoft future game line-up includes Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege, as well new IP For Honor and The Division. With the publisher recently announcing that it’s no longer releasing AAA games on last generation consoles, it’ll be interesting to see how these numbers shift. And the results showed that PlayStation 4 was the one console that generated more revenue significantly as compared to the other consoles, including the Xbox One. It’s third place that is where things get really weird.
Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed anything about Zombi yet, so let’s hope we hear something on it soon.
We’re going to go with the ex- considering the size of Ubisoft.
