UCLA Bruins vs. Stanford Cardinal: Betting odds, point spread and tv info
The No. 16/21 Oregon State men’s soccer team was unable to overcome a strong No. 3/3 Stanford side Sunday afternoon as the Cardinal took a 3-0 Pac-12 win. Among those back are senior center Ruth Hamblin, the Pac-12 player of the year, and junior point guard Sydney Wiese, an all-Pac-12 selection. “Our freshmen have never played Stanford and our sophomores have only played once”. Stanford free safety Kodi Whitfield expects Stanford Stadium to be buzzing. “They’re all going to be there”.
With her next team victory, Bruin head coach Amanda Cromwell will earn her 50th win at UCLA.
“This is an incredible group of people and competitors”, says Rueck, 90-71 in his time at Oregon State but 51-16 over the past two years. “They are all hard to measure. You just got to keep looking forward and can’t let it become a distraction”. We’re preparing for that and that’s something we have to get better at. Really, it’s another step in the direction of achieving that goal, which is winning the Pac-12 championship.
So the ultimate question is: why can’t the Bruins beat the Cardinal? After 4 years here at Stanford, Hogan has matured into an extremely smart quarterback with underrated physical skills.
Shall we start with USC? “They had beaten us two years straight”. They have nothing to do with this upcoming game. UCLA is a solid all-around football team. I liked the diamond formation that was going on inside the ten, with Jamardre Cobb, Zach Green and Orlando Bradford, but the issue is coming when Arizona is about 10+ yards out from the end zone. Asked in Week 1 if Rosen would be put on a “leash” for his career debut, Mora was indignant. “They don’t hold the ball long. You try to bring it into what it is that week”. Plus, he’s not really a flashy player. But the Bears weren’t able to produce anywhere near the offensive play they needed in order to win this match, as the next-highest player was able to reach only five kills.
These are not the things that Mora wants to dwell on. He has a great arm. His deep ball is ideal, further opening up the middle. “My dad kind of swayed me”. We’ve had to really look at ourselves in the mirror, figure out what we could change and how we could change it as fast as possible.
“Once you start making one game more important than the other”, he said, “you open yourself up to inconsistency”.
Stanford has just one interception through five games, ranking it last in the Pac-12. Guess you better watch ASU-Utah this weekend, then. We have to stay patient and do our job.
The main reason: Christian McCaffrey is going to be unstoppable. Like Taylor, Perkins has quickness, elusiveness and the strength to break tackles.
“I know this team doesn’t, either”. He’ll have eight years in the National Football League, at least. Jordan Payton and Thomas Duarte have combined for 666 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Devin Fuller has 11 receptions.
GE: Probably the red zone efficiency. “I see them pressing on and keeping their edge through the remainder of the year”. That’s the lesson we learned. Rival Cal is 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Pac-12 after suffering a tough loss to No. 4 Utah.
“It’s a insane world”, Shaw said. Allowing a feeling of surprise to have its way with you for 24 hours is perfectly reasonable. Derrick Turituri is still out, but I’d definitely like him to come in for Miller rather than Magloire. Arizona only plays teams with spread offenses and mobile quarterbacks from here on out essentially, so why not stick with it and have the most athletic guys out there all the time? Return-wise, we have multiple dynamic returners who haven’t gotten the chance to get loose, yet. It’s a sign of respect.
K-State (3-2, 0-2 Big 12) hosts No. 19 Oklahoma (4-1, 1-1) this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on ABC. “We don’t restrict – we go”. Every game, he’s getting more and more experience.
Lewis: As evidenced by the ASU game, Rosen is no doubt the MVP of the offense, but Paul Perkins and the running game make this whole thing tick. Meanwhile at Oregon, they’ve hit that downward spiral and it’s not a good look considering the talent they’ve been able to draw in. I believe in Kevin Hogan’s arm.
