UCLA CB Ishmael Adams reinstated; DB Fabian Moreau out for season
He could play immediately for the Bruins (3-0) at No. 16 Arizona on Saturday.
As a freshman in 2013, the Bruins visited Arizona in what would be a close 31-26 win for UCLA. But Mora and offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone have said they still like using him on offense, because of his unique blend of size and speed and ability to change the pace of the game.
Jack has 15 tackles in UCLA’s first three games.
During Jack’s sophomore season in 2014, the Wildcats visited Pasadena, California, and the Rose Bowl to take on the Bruins again.
Losing an incredible player like Jack is undoubtedly a big blow, but UCLA looks prepared to handle it on paper.
So…big breath…Jim Mora made an unfortunate cameo with the media this morning to confirm the news that leaked last night following Myles’ tweet.
Running back Paul Perkins rolled up 219 yards against the Cougars, but with UCLA trailing by six points with five minutes left, Nate Starks was in the backfield. However, this isn’t the same team that opened the year against Virginia.
Jack had fifteen tackles on the season and an interception against BYU as they were working their way down the field for what could have been a game winning field goal.
Jack attended Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Washington.
Jack easily could have been one of the best two-way players in the country. Arizona is hoping for good news of its own, too, as Bednarik Award victor Scooby Wright could return to the linebacking corps after missing two games with a knee injury. Who knows what this means for Jack’s future in terms of if he declares for this spring’s National Football League draft.
Jack does not quite stuff the stat sheet like Scooby, but his impact is there.
The UCLA Bruins will have to survive the rest of 2015 without superstar linebacker Myles Jack, according to information relayed by Stewart Mandel of Fox Sports.
“Basically every time [Jack] was lined up in man coverage he locked up his guy”, David Woods of Bruin Report Online wrote.
Now without Jack, UCLA will face several high-powered passing attacks in its race for the Pac-12 title. And his playmaking will certainly be missed.
