UCLA Gymnast’s Floor Routine Goes Viral with Dab, Nae Nae Moves
Sophina DeJesus, a senior at UCLA, performed her floor routine on February 6 in a competition against Utah.
DeJesus not only nailed her gymnastic moves, but wowed the crowd with her dance skills in between tumbles and ideal landings. DeJesus teammates screamed in excitement when she finished, clearly awed by her skills.
The video has been viewed more than 19 million times on Facebook and has even been featured on ESPN.
DeJesus strutted out onto the floor, even though the awkward white guy announcer totally got her name wrong: “Sonya Meraz is becoming a house favorite here, isn’t she?” The Bruins eked out a 197.100- 197.075 win over the defending Pac-12 champions with the help of DeJesus’ fantastic floor routine, breaking a six-meet losing streak, reports the news outlet.
