UK Labour’s Corbyn set for easy leadership victory
Mr Corbyn, who became embroiled in a public row with Virgin Trains after the company released footage of him walking past unoccupied seats before being filmed sitting on the floor complaining about how “ram-packed” carriages were, also called for a clamp-down on “unwarranted snooping” via CCTV.
Voting in the contest is already under way with a victor to be announced on September 24th.
“I was disgusted to see the attempts to try to stop Jeremy from getting on the ballot”.
“Third, your membership fees were spent on securing that decision through the courts”. With longstanding supporters Corbyn does not have the same level of support, but the huge number of new members easily cancels out this discrepancy. “And then lastly, registered supporters, who had been told they could be involved in the leadership election, were then told that they must increase their donation to £25 within two days to remain eligible for a vote”.

An estimated 640,000 members and supporters have been tasked with choosing between the pair with the victor to be announced on 24 September.
He also added that the Labour leader’s “digital democracy” strategy, which launched on Tuesday, was out of date as it did not address anti-bullying measures on social media.

According to the survey Corbyn’s main strength is that party members perceive him as “principled”, with 76% of those questioned agreeing with this description whilst also being trusted for “honesty” (64%) and for “shares my political outlook” (58%).
“Words matter. We must never pander to elements of the right-wing press which sow division in our society and demonise Muslim communities”.
“Labour has a proud history of tackling race equality, but recent events and the rise in extremism across Europe has shown that despite the progress which has been made, more work needs to be done”, she said. I think she’s doing a terrific job of leading the Labour Party in Scotland.
