UK to investigate report US denied Muslim family entry
Mohammad Tariq Mahmood had his bags on the plane and was about to board the plane to Los Angeles before he and family were stopped by authorities.
Mr. Vaz’s remarks followed reports that a British Muslim family of 11 on their way to Disneyland was stopped from boarding their flight to Los Angeles at London’s Gatwick airport on Tuesday last week by us immigration officials.
‘We were the only family that was of Asian, Muslim, sort of appearance, and it seemed a little bit embarrassing that only we were taken out (of the line to board),’ he told the BBC.
The family had paid 9,000 pounds (about 13,382 US dollars) for the flights.
Cameron’s Downing Street office confirmed that the prime minister would respond to Creasy’s request.
“And upon asking him, I requested numerous times, he said that they had a phone call from Washington DC not permitting us to board the plane”.
“The religion, faith or spiritual beliefs of an global traveler are not determining factors about his/her admissibility into the U.S.”, he said.
Mr Masroor said: ‘He would not give me any reason, he said he was only a messenger.
The statement also specified that travelers must overcome more than 60 grounds of inadmissibility, including health-related, security-related, and documentation requirements, in order to enter the country.
Previously, the Prime Minister echoed the condemnation of Mr. Trump’s comments in the USA, calling them “divisive and wrong”.
She also said a growing number of British Muslims claim they have received similar treatment.
“There has been no further contact from either the United Kingdom or American security services to follow up any potential threat that they are perceived to represent”, wrote Creasy. He said that the airline told the family their tickets would not be refunded.
U.S. division of homeland security authorities has to date supplied no description for the nation declined to permit the household of 11 to panel the airplane despite the fact that they’d been given vacation agreement online in front of their December 15 prepared trip.
She complained that officials who kept the family from boarding provided no information and said she had hit “a brick wall” seeking information about the case.
“I find it utterly improbable two men with the entire Mahmood clan were travelling without the company of a wife or mother to such a family-orientated destination”, she said.
[I’m] baffled, annoyed and angry at the moment. “I am amazed how irrational these processes are but does U.S. care about what you and I think? I don’t think so!”
