Umbrella Corps Gets New Trailer, Details and Release Window
Titled “The Experiment”, this mode will see you playing over 20 missions in the same maps as the multiplayer modes, though as a sole test subject, rather than a member of a team. There’s also a single player mode called “The Experiment” that features over twenty missions with different objectives. The problem is that it has the production values of a mildly competent free-to-play indie FPS, which is not what we’ve come to expect from the Resident Evil franchise, is it?
Umbrella Corps will retails for $30 and will be a digital only release for those platforms. For RE4, you’ll find a retooled map based on the Village that takes the fight to the rooftops, while RE5 brings a newly imagined Tricell headquarters.
Umbrella Corps is an online multiplayer shooter where players compete as teams of three mercenaries, fighting against each other while also dealing with zombies and other Resident Evil creatures.
Capcom says details on additional maps and modes will arrive in the future.
Many of you are going to immediately compare the series’ latest spin-off to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and we don’t blame you, both games look incredibly similar at first glance.
