Universal Reveals Title for Lonely Island Comedy

Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer will Never Stop Never Stopping.

Plot details have been unveiled too.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping focuses on Lonely Island singer/rapper Conner4Real (Samberg) after his sophomore album flops. Samberg will be headlining the cast that will also feature Sarah Silverman, Maya Rudolph, Mike Birbiglia, Tim Meadows and Imogen Poots.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping hits theaters on June 3. Check out the first poster below. Co-directed by Schaffer and Taccone and written by The Lonely Island trio, Popstar is also produced by Rodney Rothman (producer of Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall; co-writer of 22 Jump Street), as well as Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone. Taccone and Schaffer are co-directing the film.

Andy Samberg, SNL alum and frontman for The Lonely Island, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to reveal the movie’s title and poster, which until now had been announced. The flick is called Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
