Univision Ditches Trump, Mogul Threatens to Sue
Donald Trump has banned all workers from the Spanish-language network Univision from “stepping foot” on his Miami golf resort property while planning to sue for a “tremendous” sum. “If this isn’t accomplished inside one week, we’ll shut it”, he stated.
The billionaire, known for his unfiltered attitude, then went after Falco personally.
Trump closed the letter sent to Falco by saying, “P.S. Please congratulate your Mexican Government officials for having made such outstanding trade deals with the United States”. They are sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing their problems with them.
In his letter Trump promised that if he becomes president he would erect a “meaningful border… not the laughing stock that it now is”, reported TMZ, and is apparently beginning with establishing strict border control at his golf course.
The first blow came from Univision, which announced it would no longer partner with or air any content from the Miss Universe Organization.
Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric about Mexican immigrants as a part of his marketing campaign for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination prompted Univision on Thursday to bail out of airing the pageant on July 12. “They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists”. “What I can say is that from any country, being an Albanian, there’s good and bad people anywhere”. “And we’re going to ask NBC Universal to withdraw its relationship with Trump and to cancel the Miss United States of America pageant”. Univision didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment on either.
Manxhari appeared to discuss the upcoming Miss US pageant, owned by Trump.
In a recent report by TMZ, Donald Trump said if he is elected as president of the USA, “he would let undocumented workers who are productive stay in the United States, but if they just sponge off the system and don’t contribute, he’d have them deported”. He also called for building a wall along the southern border of the USA The remarks drew condemnation from the Mexican government as “biased and absurd”.
Actor Cristian de la Fuente, who is Chilean, posted a video on Facebook directly addressing Trump.
“It was a totally insensitive act and I would call for his immediate resignation from Univision“, said Cohen on Thursday.
