Unlocked Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Now Available In The US
The 4K display is accompanied by many other impressive specs and features, and the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has just started making its way into the hands of some buyers. Sony Xperia Z6 is also tipped to be powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 820 SoC. Sony’s current flagship Xperia Z5 is run by a Snapdragon 810 processor.
As for the display, it’s 5.5-inches in size and Sony’s first as well as an industry first 4K resolution screen, which means a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels with 806 pixels per inch.
Sony still hasn’t announced when the phone will officially be up for grabs in the United States, but if you really want one you don’t have to wait.
Third party retailers including Amazon and Expansys have both standard as well as dual-SIM variants listed on their website. Expansys’ prices are a bit steeper, with the single-SIM model set for $779 and the dual-SIM variant available for $789.
At the time of writing, Amazon sells the standard model for $738 unlocked and offers the dual-SIM version for $777.
While it’s good to know that the phone is now available to buy in the USA, there are some compromises to be made. Also they’re compatible only with GSM carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T.
However we should also point out that these phones are the worldwide variant of the phone, and as such they do not come with an official Sony warranty, so if anything goes wrong you’d have to contact the seller directly to deal with it, or you will have to take it to a fix shop and have it fixed where you will most likely be charged.
