Until Dawn’s new interactive trailer lets you make the stupid horror mistakes
The upcoming survival horror-adventure game is going to be released very soon, but it seems like Supermassive Games just felt like spoiling their interested target market.
One of the most essential features of “Until Dawn” that drives a game like this one is the ‘Butterfly Effect.’ The choices you make in order to stay alive become utterly crucial on the game’s overall plot.
Part 2 of the live action series can be seen here. Of course, the choices you get are pretty horror movie typical.
Choices is the name of this new Until Dawn video, and gamers will be able to play out a classic horror genre scenario with some unique moments of terror.
“We took our inspiration from the many choices presented in the game and from its cinematic style”, explains short film director Torben on the US PlayStation Blog.
To begin with, the game is already worth too many hours to count because every different decision or combination of decisions that has made changes the outcome of the story. “Now you can actually have a say in them – and carry full responsibility if the protagonist gets away or is killed in a brutal way…we find that extremely cool!”
It opened with a girl bolting out of the log cabin and is stuck trying to decide with of the two roads she should take.
Until Dawn centers on eight teenagers and you, the players, must make the decision who survives.
In a matter of days, you can finally put yourself to the test, with the release of Until Dawn, teen-slasher-flick-cum-video-game and see if you do any better. Who are you gonna let die first?
