Update On Goldberg’s WWE Contract And WrestleMania 33 Opponent
Goldberg will compete at the Royal Rumble. It was also believed that match was going to go the other way, with Goldberg losing to Lesnar, and then a “big send-off” for the wrestling star. Goldberg and Lesnar last fought in 2004 at WrestleMania 20, where the Beast Incarnate lost.
Steve Austin said it also didn’t help that match fans wanted pitted him in the ring instead of Lesnar. The buildup has improved with both men having a lot to improve.
Although Goldberg’s first run with WWE underwhelmed a number of fans, the company has corrected course following his return. It’s being said that he’ll be working a limited schedule similar to Brock’s, which will make all of his appearances rare and must-see.

Previously, he was under contract with WWE just for this dream match with Lesnar.
Tonight’s match took everyone by surprise. Another spear, followed by a jackhammer ended the match as Goldberg pinned Brock Lesnar to end the one-sided match.
There is the Undertaker, John Cena and Sting who could face Goldberg in the future – technically dousing talk on the alleged one-and-done deal previously speculated.
Okay now we fast forward to 2016, Brock Lesnar is working part time so the next time we see him will probably the Royal Rumble. History has a odd way of repeating itself in WWE.
Goldberg made his entrance to the middle of the ring from backstage to a thunderous ovation and applause from the fans with chants of “Goldberg” resonating throughout the arena. Just as when he was about to get up, Goldberg capitalized on the moment and delivered a spear that sent Lesnar back to the canvas for the second time. Apparently, it was even Brock’s idea.
