Updated 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition Revealed in Texas
First up is GMC’s newest version of its Sierra Elevation trim package, which debuts at the 2015 State Fair of Texas in Dallas this week.
These enhancements include revised front-end styling with new, high-intensity discharge projector-beam headlamps and GMC Signature LED lighting.
GMC went public earlier today to announce on the special edition variants of the Sierra which is due to arrive later this year. The truck also wears Elevation Edition badging on the doors. Known as the Sierra Elevation Edition, the vehicle will basically look exactly like an ordinary Sierra but with black theme. A new radio with a 7-inch-diagonal screen incorporates CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration capability, which gives drivers the ability to make calls, send and receive messages and control music from the IntelliLink touchscreen. Other features include OnStar 4G LTE and an integrated hotspot for WiFi devices.
Available on Sierra double cab, the Elevation Edition brings a more sinister appearance thanks to body-color elements including moldings, door handles, mirror caps, surround and bumpers.
The 4.3L EcoTec3 V-6 is standard, with the 5.3L V-8 optional and a maximum towing capacity of up to 9,400 pounds on 2WD models. An automatic transmission is the only unit available, but both engines can be ordered with either two- or four-wheel drive.
All-terrain tires, a Rear Vision camera system, trailering equipment and XM Radio are available on all models.
Edmunds says: Buyers who can’t wait to get a custom look on their GMC Sierra may want to check out the 2015 version of the Elevation Edition.
