Urban Meyer addresses Ohio State quarterback situation

Rutgers couldn’t stop you from running four six yards, but for a Nittany Lion team that’s trying to get its offensive line into a lather, 330 rushing yards, four scores, and eight yards per run is a good step forward.

He’s completing 68 percent, but they’re not going anywhere (6.9 yards per completion), and his passer rating is on the wrong side of 120. He went 24-28 for 194 yards passing in addition to 86 yards on 11 rushes on the ground.

Barrett has two more years eligibility at OSU while this is Jones’ final year at the college level. Lee’s 41-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the third quarter provided the margin of victory. He then converted a two-point conversion to Jordan Westerkamp to stunningly send the game into overtime. It was the most points a Steve-Spurrier coached team has ever given up to Georgia.

Junior running back Joel Bouagnon had 21 carries for 78 yards for the Huskies, who had 110 rushing yards as a team. The Hurricanes booted a 28-yarder to get to 3-0. As I wrote team previews this summer, it was hard to ignore that basically only one potential elite (Michigan State) had minimal awkwardness at the position.
