Uri Fallout: Zee’s Subhash Chandra May Stop Pak Shows on Zindagi
“Will not shut down Zindgi channel but revamp programming without Serials from Pakistan, we will have Indian subjects on Muslim community”, chairman Subhash Chandra said.
And now, Zindagi channel which is an Indian Hindi-Urdu entertainment television channel, owned by the Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) is considering of taking off-air all their Pakistani shows.
With all the tension rising because of recent Uri attacks, after political party in Maharashtra, and singer Abhijeet Bhatacharya threaten Pakistani actors to leave India, and gave a deadline of 48 hours, another response has surfaced against Pakistan.
Expressing discontent over Pakistan Prime Minsiter Nawaz Sharif’s speech at the UN General Assembly, Subhash tweeted about this reconsideration decision.
He also demanded from Pakistani artists to leave India.
Chandra had earlier mentioned that he had fulfilled the promise made to Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif by starting Zindagi channel but love can not be one-sided.
The party has written an open letter to Bollywood producers and production houses, asking them why they need to rope in actors from the neighbouring country when enough talent is available in India. He is all set to appear in Karan Johar’s soon to be released Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Some of the Pakistani shows on the channel like “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” and “Humsafar” featured Fawad Khan, who is now featuring in numerous films in Bollywood.
