US, allies hit Islamic State with 32 air strikes
The Royal Air Force joins strikes by US, French, and allied air forces, which are already being conducted in the country. That’s a different result than the last time Parliament voted.
British politicians will decide Wednesday whether to expand their air campaign against ISIS in Iraq to Syria. “American special operators bring a unique suite of capabilities that make them force multipliers” he said. But for the most part, United States forces are helping Iraqis plan operations and rebuilding their army.
He also praised Germany and the United Kingdom for deepening their involvement in the anti-ISIS coalition. They will be arriving there in the course of the day. However, the scale of the threat we face from ISIL is unprecedented.
“I hope our country will now unite behind their fearless and professional endeavours to degrade and destroy the evil embodied by ISIL/Daesh”.
“More Americans will be coming here to Iraq, and some of them will be conducting raids in Iraq and Syria”, he said. That puts a question mark on their credibility so they are still pushing hard for that regime change that they promised, the same kind of regime change that they used in Iraq through military means, in other countries such as Libya through proxies.
He said: “Having listened to today’s debate and the many arguments that have been made, I will be voting against the Government’s motion tonight”.
Mr Jarvis said there was no logic in fighting Daesh in Iraq, but not Syria, and stressed that Britain does not have the “luxury” of waiting for an agreement on political transition in Syria.
It is important to note that this war is not the start of a new war, but rather a cross border extension of existing RAF operations in support of our allies and to save British lives from terrorism here in the UK.

Conservative Andrew Percy (Brigg & Goole), who represents the Isle of Axholme voted in favour of the bombing, as did Labour’s Michael Dugher (Barnsley East).
Corbyn called for Cameron to explain “how British bombing in Syria will contribute to a comprehensive, negotiated, political settlement of the Syrian war”.
The loss of Ramadi was deeply embarrassing for Iraq’s government, prompting recriminations between the prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, and USA officials in charge of the global anti-Isil coalition. We need to engage with the more moderate Syrian opposition. It is also becoming increasingly clear that Daesh, with its “capital” in Syria, is planning ongoing operations against civilian targets in the UK, Europe and worldwide. That is why they created ISIL, that is why they armed it and they want to keep it going as the ideal enemy.
INSKEEP: In about thirty seconds or so, do you feel that you have a strategy to win or that simply you are working your way toward, groping your way towards some way to deal with an incredibly complex situation?
Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry and Bury MP David Nuttall have confirmed to the Free Press they are supporting the Government motion to take “all necessary measures” to prevent terrorist acts by ISIL and to “eradicate the safe haven they have established over significant parts of Iraq and Syria”. So it’s a comprehensive strategy. The recapturing came at great cost, however, with much of the city levelled in the process.
