US Begins Shipping Controversial Anti-Missile System to South Korea
The Security Council met to discuss next steps to address North Korea’s missile launches after Pyongyang said the latest tests were for a possible strike on USA bases in Japan.
“Leaders of South Korea’s conservative parties welcomed the arrival of the missile shield parts, pointing out that North Korea just tested four ballistic missiles and is threatening to launch more”.
Pocket Gamer reports that the ban is likely in response to a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THADD) missile defense system being built in South Korea to protect against potential attacks from North Korea.

North Korea fired at least four missiles toward Japan on Monday, three of which splashed down in waters near Japan.

The United States, Japan and South Korea strongly condemned the launches – the second to strike since President Donald Trump took office.
North Korea has itself previously proposed such a deal, but the us has not taken them up on the offer.
“The Chinese public is angry that Pyongyang’s nuclear program has provided an excuse for Seoul to deploy THAAD”, the tabloid said in an editorial.
“Now that the USA imperialists and the South Korean puppet forces again kicked off the unsafe nuclear war drills against the DPRK at its doorstep, our army will counter them with the toughest counteractions”, a spokesman said in a statement carried by the KCNA news agency.
