US defender Tim Ream switches English clubs to join Fulham
The United States worldwide joins the Cottagers for an undisclosed fee, leaving the Macron Stadium after two-and-a-half years.
“The biggest thing was the history, walking into the training ground and feeling the vibe around the club and the success that previous American players have had here”, he said.
Ream was originally Gary Cahill’s replacement after the England worldwide moved to Chelsea in 2012 and made 126 appearances for the Trotters. He has been a regular starter for the Wanderers and has been a two-time player of the year as voted on by the Bolton supporters.
Ream, who recently played for the US Men’s National Team at the Gold Cup, leaves Bolton after 3 1/2 seasons there.
Tim Ream’s long-rumored move to London is finally happening.
It appeared as if Ream would be heading to QPR after a report surfaced that the club had agreed a transfer free with Bolton.
Clint Dempsey and Carlos Bocanegra are just two of Ream’s fellow Yanks that have called Craven Cottage home over the last few years, with both hugely successful for Fulham during the club’s time in the Premier League.
Ream has always been a consistent performer at the club level, doing well at every stop of his career.
