US Muslims celebrated 9/11 attacks – Trump, Carson
Fact checkers and some of his gop rivals now challenging trump and ABC’s Tom llamas is in Columbus, Ohio, with all that.
Reporter 1: But did you see that happening though on 9/11?
The Republican front-runner’s comments come as he’s stoked controversy in recent days by shining a spotlight on Muslims in the wake of the Paris terror attacks, raised dubious claims about the 9/11 attacks and justified the beating of a Black Lives Matter protester at a rally this weekend.
On Tuesday in an interview on Fox News, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said, “If that had happened, I’d recall it, and I don’t”.
Donald Trump has dug himself a hole of lies about seeing Muslims celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey – and his campaign manager has grabbed a shovel and is helping to dig in deeper.
Trump also repeatedly said Monday that “hundreds of people” called his office to confirm his account of the people celebrating the September 11 attacks.
The stubbornness surprises even the fact-checkers. If your generals come to you with a plan to bomb terrorist training camps, you may well agree to that; if one of them adds “in New Jersey” to the equation one would hope that a President Ben Carson would at least look up from his lunch. “I think it’s important for people to recognize that the people who involve themselves in protest and disruption on behalf of this movement have to be strategic about the way in which we do things”. “Holding tailgate-style parties”, it read.
The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment. “Because I can feel it. My father always used to say… everything you touch just turns to gold, and he’s got a great sense of location and business and things”.
“I don’t know if on the basis of that you can say all Muslims are bad people”. “We know it happened”. Reporter: Carson even apologizing after he misspoke about seeing that video, trump then taking a shot at Carson releasing this statement. That certainly would make him one of the final three or four [GOP candidates]. Okay, Tom, thanks very much.
“I would bring it back”. Donald Trump: Murderous brown enemies are all around us, and if you ask for evidence you’re a loser. He’s now slipped down to third place. “She fantasizes that he’s really the real Donald Trump”. But the real story of this poll, George, is Ted Cruz. In it, Kessler goes through in condescending fashion how wrong Trump was on the claim, stating “There were some reports of celebrations overseas, in Muslim countries, but nothing that we can find involving the Arab populations of New Jersey”. By contrast, they’ve provided just 20 percent of Cruz’s contributions and 36 percent of Carson’s.
