USA to take in 10000 refugees despite attacks
A Syrian passport was found near the body of one of the attackers, raising questions about whether at least one might have been a Syrian citizen or posing as one. Unfortunately, so long as we have a president unwilling to acknowledge the sobering reality that attacks, such as the one in Paris are the result of radical Islam and not climate change, such a system can not exist. “We will continue to do our job just as we did until now”.

The passport, which may have been a fake, was issued to a Syrian man who crossed through Greece and Serbia.

In a further weakness, SIS does not allow for a suspect traveller’s fingerprints to be searched against a biometric database.

Syrian passports can be a valuable commodity for migrants, so it can’t automatically be assumed that the Paris gunman is the same person named on the passport, or even that the gunman is the person who passed through Greece. They need to be helped, not demonized.
