USC vs. OR – Ducks and Trojans have shown signs of life

Many coaches also said they’re still in favor of the nine-game conference schedule, but thought there should be a more even playing field when it comes to matching up against other teams from the Power 5 conferences.

Here are a few of the OR players who have managed to make it into the 2014 Top Pac-12 Players List. I feel for these defensive backs, because it appears they literally can do nothing to defend a pass in the game today. The Pac-12’s best out of conference wins were Utah and UCLA victories over MI and BYU respectively, but overall it was a sparse showing by the conference in the early part of the season, a time when national respect is potentially up for grabs.

Cody Kessler has passed for 2715 yards and 23 touchdowns.

The 2015 University of OR football season could be remembered as the season of, ‘What if?’ OR more like, “What if Vernon Adams Jr. never broke his finger?”

“They were getting pressure on me but at the end of the day, we’ve got to make our plays, ” Kessler said. “It’s on all of us”.

USC has made a habit of falling behind and rallying under Helton – it had happened throughout the four-game win streak – and the Trojans made a run at the Ducks later in the third quarter.

Kessler’s 12-yard TD pass to Tyler Petite evened it again.

The Duck defense also has had a history of letting star receivers inexplicably have career games at Autzen, and USC’s JuJu Smith-Schuster seemed to be next in line. He is a sports journalist in Southern California and has covered college football and basketball for a variety of outlets in the last decade. With each game and TD pass, they extend their NCAA record. The senior transfer was hurt in the opener against his former school, Eastern Washington, then struggled until OR shut him down for a couple of games to heal. Whatever Adams does will not surprise his close friend, USC wide receiver Steven Mitchell, who already saw Adams do the same things at Alemany High School in Mission Hills.

“He’s more smooth, ” Addison said of Adams’ ever-improving play. “He’s not as rushed and he’s making his throws”.

Adams then found two-way player Charles Nelson in the end zone with a 26-yard pass and the Ducks pushed their lead to 45-28.

Simmons had two sacks, forced a fumble and blocked a field-goal attempt in last week’s victory at Colorado. There’s a hitch in declaring what must be declared: in that interim Coach Clay Helton, as acceptable as he’s, & in addition to he has handled a troublesome state of affairs, can’t be USC’s coach moving too far forward. Since Helton took over for Sarkisian USC has been ideal in conference play. They are young, but I don’t think anyone outside of the program truly knew just how lacking they were from a talent standpoint.
