Va. Tech freshman charged with 13-year-old’s murder
In this January 31, 2016 photo, troopers prepare to search the Duck Pond in Blacksburg, Va. The investigation continued in the death of Nicole Madison Lovell as a state police search and recovery team searched the pond for evidence on the Virginia Tech Campus.
The body of Nicole Madison Lovell, 13, of Blacksburg, Virginia, was discovered Saturday off N.C. 89 at Lowgap, in an area near Snowbird Curve where a road-construction project recently occurred.
It was on social media where Nicole may have met Eisenhauer recently, Weeks said police told her. “That’s all I know”, she said.
The arrest warrant indicates a gun was not used in the killing, and Eisenhauer gave a cryptic statement to investigators, saying: “I believe the truth can set me free”. Nicole often cried at the thought of going to school, so Weeks said she often let Nicole stay home. Their next hearing date is March 28th at 1pm for a preliminary hearing in Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.
First-degree murder carries a sentence of 20 years to life and abduction carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, Pettit’s office said.
She said she had retained a lawyer. “That (expletive) took her life”.
Keepers was double majoring in oceanic engineering and aerospace engineering, with dreams of working for NASA, said Pangburn, who attended Hammond High School and Virginia Tech with Keepers.
Virginia police have indicated that Eisenhauer knew Lovell before her abduction and murder, but declined to provide any additional information on how they met.
“He was an excellent student, very focused, very goal driven”, said James LeMon, the principal of Wilde Lake High School, which Eisenhauer attended in Maryland.
“God got her through all that, and she fought through all that, and he took her life”, Weeks said.
“When she grew up, she wanted to be on American Idol”, Weeks said. “She never showed any kind of depression”.
The mother of a slain Virginia teenager says the girl endured bullying at school and on social media before her death. Her liver is shutting down as we speak. “It was very upbeat and fun”. The message sparked hundreds of replies, with users criticizing her looks, according to the Post.
Wrote her father in a Facebook post Saturday night: ‘Devastated to learn that my daughter has been found dead!
“… I got to see and smell this rare occurance”, Keepers wrote.
But before she left for college six months ago, Keepers knew that she would be making a big transition. “I am so excited to start my time at Virginia Tech; however, there are definitely things about Maryland and people that I miss”.
Eisenhauer was arrested Saturday. She said the counselors were busy in the morning, but students seemed to be getting back to their routine by around noon. The college cross country runner graduated in 2015 from Wilde Lake High School in Columbia.
“He was a little bit on the cocky side”, Heydrick said.
“Socially when you talk with him, there was something different”, Heydrick said.
Eisenhauer previously lived in Washington state before moving to Columbia, Maryland, where he attended high school and was named Athlete of the Year, according to The Baltimore Sun. LeMon said the teen “fit into our school community very well”.
A school official says additional counselors were brought in to Blacksburg Middle School to help students grieving over the death of their classmate.
