‘Valley Fire’ grows to over 10000 acres prompting mandatory Calif. evacuations
The fire spread to Napa County sometime before 9 p.m., Cal Fire spokeswoman Suzie Blankenship said.
A continuous scream of sirens coupled with frantic residents fleeing from their homes began at about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Parts of Middletown are on fire, the whole community is under a mandatory evacuation order.
The fire is in Lake County off High Valley Road and Bottle Rock Road in Cobb, and has burned 400 acres.
Cal Fire reported that four firefighters suffered burns in the initial attack on the flames, though details about how serious the injuries might be were unavailable.

The firefighters were on the scene of the Valley Fire, the latest in a string of fires that has erupted in Lake County during recent weeks.
