Van carrying girls’ water polo team crashes; 1 teenager dead
The Columbus Dispatch reported that “members of the Worthington Kilbourne and Thomas Worthington girls water polo teams” were traveling to a tournament this morning when the crash occurred.
Henry County authorities are investigating a deadly crash that happened at the intersection of State Routes 65 and 281, southeast of Napoleon just after 10:00 AM Friday.

Marist College student Courtney Fisher, a member of the school’s water polo team, died in a vehicular accident in OH on Friday, the college’s athletic department announced Friday night.
Courtney Fisher, 19, was a passenger in a van carrying Thomas Worthington HS athletes to a northwest OH water polo match.
The Sheriff’s office has not said which vehicle the fatality was in.

In a letter to parents, the school wrote: “Unfortunately, we have sad news to share”. There was a serious automobile accident with a van carrying WKHS girls and family members. The sheriff’s office described their injuries as “life-threatening”. “Our district crisis response team has been mobilized and will be available for our students and families”.
“We have communicated with several families”.
“We are in the process of ensuring that our families involved are getting the support and resources that they need”, Bowers said. “Our prayers are with the Fisher family”, Marist wrote on its athletics department Twitter account.
