Van Gaal fuming with Rojo, he’s going to fine him
The Argentine worldwide was all set to join his teammates on the other side of the Atlantic on Saturday night, but was denied access to the flight due to passport issues.
Louis van Gaal was said to be far from pleased with the Argentine for not renewing his passport despite having an extended break following the Copa America. Marcos Rojo was not on the plane, he had a passport issue but with Di Maria I don’t know why.’.
Angel di Maria also failed to make his scheduled flight out to North America with his move to Paris Saint-Germain all but confirmed.
Rojo, 25, joined Man United last summer and he has been solid addition to Van Gaal’s squad, with the Argentina international’s versatility making him a useful asset at Old Trafford.
Van Gaal wanted Rojo to return to Man United action last Saturday and his failure to show up has angered the Dutch tactician.
“I have heard he (Di Maria) was not on the plane”, Van Gaal is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old played 26 games for United in his debut season in England, where he was used as both a left-back and centre-back.
They beat Mexican outfit Club America in Seattle 1-0, after a goal from new signing Morgan Schneiderlin, and then defeated San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 at the Avaya Stadium four days later.
