Vandal Savage Strikes In The First Trailer for Legends of Tomorrow
The CW is shaking up its schedule for 2016, moving its current vampire Thursday night line-up over to Fridays to make way for mid-season entries Legends of Tomorrow and The 100. The villain they are tasked with capturing before he becomes a monster is Vandal Savage, who will be first seen in the upcoming “Flash”/”Arrow” crossover airing December 1 and 2, “Legends of Today” and “Legends of Yesterday”. The characters you’ve gotten to know through “The Flash” and “Arrow” will be skipping around time in an effort to stop Savage from taking control of the planet.
We got the briefest of glimpses for Legends of Tomorrow earlier this year, when Oliver and Barry teamed up to recruit a team of time-travelling superheroes and villains. Obviously, the whole thing is an attempt to do on TV what Marvel has pulled off with its hit film franchises, but I’m more intrigued by the fact that the CW is beating its parent company to the punch by two months.
Based on the characters from DC Comics, the new series hails from Bonanza Productions Inc.in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. We’ve heard conflicting reports that Legends of Tomorrow has a 13 or 15 episode order.
That remains to be seen, but Legends of Tomorrow is looking great so far. “Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?” With that comes a few very cool reveals, including an actual superhero costume for Firestorm (it’s about time), and most shockingly of all, references to Batman and Superman.
