Vanessa Hudgens thanks her ‘supportive’ fans post dad’s demise
“Tonight, I do the show in his honor”, the 27-year-old added ahead of the show. Honestly – it was flawless!
To make the show more palatable for broadcast audiences and advertisers, Grease Live toned down some, but not all, of the show’s racier lyrics. But hey – that’s nothing a tent can’t fix! Instead of choosing to understandably sit out the performance, Hudgens embraced the “show must go on” mentality and blew the minds of viewers everywhere.
Having just completed an intense eight weeks of rehearsals for Fox’s Grease: Live, Vanessa made the hard decision to perform as planned that evening.
“Of course she was crying after the show wrapped”, the source told Radar.
Vanessa Hudgens, you are our hero. “Hopefully people are going to be dancing in their living rooms and singing along and feeling like they’re part of the show!”
Since FOX announced their plans to transform the classic musical in 2014, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the three-hour performance that would bring “Grease” to life. And we’re totally learning every, single one of those dance numbers! Boyz II Men appeared again as the Teen Angels and Gasteyer portrayed Principal McGee. But honestly, Didi really took the cake because hello! “Fox and Paramount immediately jumped on and said, ‘We would love to do that'”.

With live television, literally ANYTHING could happen! Obviously, that’s not a race that could’ve actually happened on a studio lot. It would have been understandable for the producers to take the easy way out and cut down the number of dancers in an effort to simplify things for live TV.
For those with a provlicity for hashtags, Grease: Live was the word on social media as well.
