Veeva Systems Delivers Mobile CRM for Microsoft Windows 10
The upcoming Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL has been the subject of many leaks and speculation, the latest one claiming that the two smartphones will be the last models to be released in the Lumia series. Unnamed sources tell Windows Central that AT&T will only offer the regular Lumia 950 and not the Lumia 950 XL.
Still, that doesn’t mean Microsoft won’t update the list and add other Lumia devices as time passes.
Anyway, while Microsoft might be planning to update most of its Lumia devices to Windows 10, not all phones from this family will get it upon launch.
Further, Digitimes suggests that Microsoft is looking for partner vendors to launch Windows 10 Mobile in the entry-level and mid-range segments.
According to Forex Report Daily, the flagship smartphone from Microsoft, which was initially developed together with Nokia, will be the last in the Lumia series and will be the official carrier of the upcoming Windows 10 mobile operating software. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB RAM.
US “Our newest Lumia smartphones – the Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL and Lumia 430 Dual SIM – will receive a free upgrade to Windows 10”. At the time of writing, there is no confirmation if this is the exact Surface Pen used for Microsoft’s tablets or if it has undergone subtle changes to be more device-specific toward the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Apart from the larger display, some other differentiating specs will be an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,300mAh battery.
Both phones are said to have 32 GB of internal storage, and Microsoft definitely wants to woo a lot of switchers with a microSD slot for expanding storage. Both phones will also have support for USB Type-C and wireless charging as the rumors go.
The company’s official statement via Twitter (November 2014) says that “there will be windows 10 upgrades for all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices”, but the initial release will be limited to a few Lumia devices only. Unlike Microsoft’s brightly colored earlier devices, Talkman and Cityman will reportedly come only in black and white but in the same matte polycarbonate shell covering earlier Lumias.
