Vertu Launches Signature Touch For Bentley Android Smartphone
This third phone, the Signature Touch for Bentley, respects the two brands’ extravagant policy.
If there’s one thing common with carmaker Bentley and smartphone manufacturer Vertu, it is that they both manufacture products for the “luxury” end of the market, and in that, their partnership is a logical one. And, of course, it offers the Made to Order option with eight leather colours and 16 stitching selections, which is where you get the more extreme pricing levels. Talking about the specifications, the Vertu Signature Touch consists of a 5.2-inch HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The Vertu Signature Touch comes equipped with a 21MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 2.1MP front camera for selfies. There is 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
Design-wise, Vertu Signature Touch features two-tone Beluga and Hotspur Bentley leather, as well as Hotspur stitching.
It runs on Android’s latest 5.1 Lollipop and promises improved speed, clarity of image, and also an exquisite sound experience thanks to Dolby’s Digital Plus virtual surround sound. The collaboration also adds that the new device will features Bentley’s 3D logo, knurled side keys, a unique pillow rail and a sound bar.
Aside from that, the Signature Touch comes bundled from Vertu with Dedicated Concierge as well as Vertu LIFE and Vertu CERTAINTY services that are designed “to enhance your lifestyle”, along with the new Lost Phone service, which allows owners to remotely lock and wipe the phone if lost or stolen.
Available starting January 28, the Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley carries a starting price of more than $9,000.
