Victor Cruz injures calf, will miss Wednesday’s practice
Last year, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz was hit with a season-ending injury. “Everything will be fine”. He only played in six games and racked up 337 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Rueben Randle, the No. 3 receiver, has not practiced this week because of tendinitis in his knee, and the offensive line is still looking for its best five.
“They didn’t give me a timetable, but I know how it feels for me right now (compared to) how it did when it first happened”, Cruz said.
“Obviously, they were upping my reps this week in practice and seeing that I was feeling good and doing good”, he said. Cruz, of course, was sidelined for much of last year due to injury while Beckham drew the spotlight as a breakout star. Everybody wants to talk about our passing game.
“I had an awesome time working on this commercial with Victor, who is such an experienced NFL player”, said Beckham Jr.in a statement. Even with corner Prince Amukamara (groin) back in practice on Thursday, Wade found a way to continue making plays to get noticed, making an interception to end the practice session.
If there is a concern for the offense, it’s getting everyone healthy and practicing. Cruz missed practice yesterday, and it was unclear if he will work today.
Defensive lineman George Selvie injured his knee Monday, although Coughlin said there was no ligament damage and he expected the veteran back soon.
NOTES: OL Justin Pugh plans to return to practice Thursday after having oral surgery to repair an infected fractured molar.
