Video shows crocodile using tail to propel itself out of the water
Just in case you didn’t have enough reasons to fear crocodiles, here is a new one.
A nature photographer shared video of an Australian crocodile using its muscular tail to propel itself out of the water to grab some food hanging from a rope. According to the video’s description, they wanted to capture every conceivable angle of these giant risky creatures and that included getting up close and personal with their mouths.
Frost uploaded the footage on Instagram on Sunday, and said while it may seem like odd behavior, “crocodiles have incredibly strong tails”. Trying to film them as they chomp down their meal will usually lead these big reptiles to slink back under water, meal in tow. He would regularly tackle these majestic beasts on his show “The Crocodile Hunter”, all the while keeping the coolest of composure and having a laugh with the viewers at home.
