Video shows how to turn your phone into a 3D hologram
People upload all sorts of mad apps every day.
It guides users through the process of creating a hologram.
If you’ve ever wondered how to to turn your smartphone into a 3D hologram, then you’ve come to the right place.
Now fire up a hologram-specific YouTube video, turn off all the lights and you have your very own homemade 3d light show.
The materials needed for this hack are commonly found, and it involves simple cutting and taping so anyone can do it. Mrwhosetheboss actually got the idea from fellow YouTuber American Hacker, but the former’s instructions are much clearer. All he does is draw a trapezoid on graph paper, and cut the CD case into the shape of trapezoid, make four such CD case trapezoids, stick em’ together and boom, your 3D hologram is ready. All you have to do is construct a pyramid-shaped device that will refract specially-designed videos up off of your phone screen and onto the sides of the prism, which will give the illusion of an image floating inside. Probably that’s the reason this video has been viewed 250k times.
