Vikings at Packers “flexed”
If the Vikings win, they will host the Seattle Seahawks, and if Green Bay wins, the Vikings will likely head back to Lambeau for the second consecutive week for the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
The loser will enter the postseason as one of two NFC wild cards along with the Seattle Seahawks. They would still be playing for the NFC North championship next week, as previously mentioned, meaning that they could still win the division (and a playoff spot) with a win next week. The Packers are coming off an embarrassing blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Below you’ll find two different possible scenarios that could play out next week and how it would affect the Vikings playoff chances if the Vikings were to lose next week…
If the Seahawks win and the Vikings win…
In fact, the Seahawks could clinch the No. 5 seed and set up a trip to Washington by the end of Sunday.
Despite the Packers’ lopsided win in Minnesota earlier this season, both teams appear to be headed in opposite directions.
– If Seattle wins and Minnesota wins, the Seahawks are the No. 6 seed and travel to play Minnesota.
Washington defeated the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday night to win the NFC East and take a big step toward setting up a game against Seattle in the Wild Card round of the National Football League playoffs on January 9 or January 10. Both Seattle and Green Bay are extremely unsafe (and both whooped the Vikings at home this season), but both are playing bad football right now. After falling behind 14-0, Seattle rallied to win 24-14 and advance to the divisional round, where the Seahawks then lost at Atlanta.
