Vikings’ Bridgewater expected to be OK to play Sunday
Bridgewater greeted his teammates as they ran through the stadium tunnel after the game, clapping and slapping their backs. “The National Football League is like a brotherhood”.
“I’ll just say this: Since 2000, it’s been a privilege and honor for me to be on the competition committee”. Bridgewater has not put up insane stats this season, but he has played a solid quarterback for Minnesota and has the team in position to make the playoffs as things stand now.
Zimmer had no such reservations. Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has a history with these kinds of hits, having been suspended for a year after creating the infamous “Bountygate” scandal.
LB Anthony Barr, who had a cast on his left arm after Sunday’s game, “should be good to go” for Sunday, coach Mike Zimmer said. I think our guys are understanding their responsibilities better and the things we’re trying to get done.
“I think you have to consider the source…” Nobody could get near it while he was in there going about his business. Joyner was assessed a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness, and Zimmer and several Vikings players contended it was a cheap shot. He was replaced by Shaun Hill, a former Rams quarterback.
Did Joyner intentionally lower his shoulder and forearm into Bridgewater’s head when he could have pulled up and respected Bridgewater’s surrendering slide? After laying blame to Joyner, Harrison pointed the finger towards Fisher. We are from the same place.
Appearing on Boston radio station WEEI on Tuesday, Harrison was asked about Fisher’s words and initally said he’d “love to really go in like I really want to do in my heart and soul” but his bosses at NBC had asked him not to respond. I grew up across the railroad track from him (in Miami). I hope we see them again because it was a fun game to play in and a physical game.
“Yeah, he’s full of crap”, Fusco said. The Rams’ Greg Zuerlein then kicked the tying field goal in the final seconds of regulation. Peterson’s TD in the first quarter was the first allowed by the Rams defense in four weeks…. Marcus Sherels delivered a clutch punt return.
But one of those is Walsh, a rookie in 2012, who has made 15 consecutive field goal attempts.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher flippantly remarked that Bridgewater isn’t the first quarterback to be hit while sliding.
“I don’t plan on passing the torch any time soon”, Peterson said.
Teddy Bridgewater left the Vikings’ game with a possible concussion Sunday. Then he added, “I don’t know who they play this week”. Lamarcus Joyner is not that type of player.
“If I could take it back, personally, I would take it back because I’m not a dirty player”. – When describing the emotions of his sideline after the hit.
“If we were on the street, we probably would have had a fight”, Zimmer said, according to Complex.com.
