Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson pay tribute to Paul Walker
As the cast and crew of “Furious 7” franchise celebrated Walker’s second death anniversary, Trese Gibson, Vin Diesel, Gal Galdot and the rest of the gang posted memorabilias of Walker in their respective social media accounts. “Clarity through prayers and perspective is what I always seek and pray for (sic)”, Gibson captioned the image. He told the Today show back in March that he felt Walker’s presence in the room after the birth of his daughter, Pauline. “I know it reminds them of Paul”. Today I’m just going to lay low and process.
“With a heavy heart I post this”, he continued.
“It is with great reluctance that Meadow Walker has authorized the filing of this lawsuit on her own behalf and as heir to Paul Walker’s estate”, Jeff Milam, Meadow’s lawyer, said in a statement to ET at the time.
Actor Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the films, shared a heartfelt tribute to Walker on his Instagram page, posting a photo of the co-stars with an emotional caption underneath.
He also dedicated his Teen Choice Award to Walker, and in many other interviews, he is remembered for nearly always mentioning Walker as part of his life and success. During an interview, he stated, “He was in the room [when she was born]”.
Walker died on November 30, 2013, as the passenger of an out-of-control Porsche that slammed into a concrete lamp post in Santa Clarita, California and burst into flames.
The anniversary of Walker’s death comes just days after his father filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, claiming the auto Walker died in “lacked safety features that are found on well-designed racing cars or even Porsche’s least-expensive road cars”.
