Vinyl: Watch New HBO Music Series Trailer
Richie wants to bring the music world into the future, and make a lot of money as he does it. How does he go about that? The new trailer offers a glimpse of all those things, from random drug use to shouting executives, the music, the retro outfits and of course, someone smashing a guitar into a TV. The show is seen through the eyes of a record label president, Richie Finestra, (Cannavale), who is trying to save his company and his soul without destroying everyone in his path. In an interview with Esquire, he said that he had committed to this project since 2012. “No one is anticipating it more than I am, believe me”. Both serve as executive directors to the booze-soaked and coke-fueled sex romp through NY during the time of Bowie and others along with Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), touted as the show’s creator. Along with a few serious production royalty, the cast for the show includes established actors Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple, Max Casella, Romano, and even Mick Jagger’s own son James.
VINYL kicks off its ten-episode season with a two-hour premiere, directed by Martin Scorsese, on SUNDAY, february 14 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT).
