Violence in Town, Anwan Glover Stabbed In a Nightclub

A star’s life is not always smooth. Even a star has to face different types of unplanned and unwanted situations. Even violence is also not impossible to stars. And that is something that The Wire star, Anwan Glover, has faced recently. He was stabbed by some strangers on August 3. He was then at a nightclub in Washington D.C.

The ‘Washington Post’ reported about this incident. According that report Glover was enjoying his time in the club during the early hours of the Sunday night. And then he was punched by one stranger. Upon hit by the stranger, Glover then turned to face the man, but again he was hit by another person who hit on the back side of Glover’s head. And this caused Glover to slip on the club’s floor.

The actor was best known for his roles in ‘12 Years a Slave’, which is the Oscar-winning film. He was also known for his acting in one of the HBO hit and highly popular series and as Slim Charles.

Glover also told police that the assailants kick him multiple times. He also reported that he heard someone to shout telling, “He has a knife!” Glover said, just after hearing someone to tell about the knife, he had been stabbed. He felt a very “sharp pain in his right side.” He was then taken to George Washington University Hospital for treating his wound. The wound was on his right side of his torso, and he was “treated for a laceration”.

Glover had been known for his participation in different anti-violence campaigns, and that was off screen. He had also spoken many times about some of his personal encounters. He had faced violence many times in his life.

It had been reported that Glover was shot 13 times when he was young and was in Columbia Heights area of Washington. Violence also took toll of his brother’s lives in 2007, and his son also faced violence when he was wounded in 2011.
