Memphis football coach Justin Fuente is expected to be hired as soon as next week at Virginia Tech, according to multiple reports.

And the good news keeps on coming for Virginia Tech with ESPN’s Brett McMurphy reporting Shane Beamer will also stay on staff. Pretty great job by Virginia Tech athletic director Whit Babcock to get his man in Fuente and to keep Foster and the younger Beamer around.

The Hokies Frank Beamer will depart with a 23 year bowl streak intact. Tech has won this game eleven straight years.
