Ninety-eight-year-old Stanley Hansen of Madison joined the military in 1941, the year Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked.
“Those guys they set the bar for us to continue to try to reach”, says Senior Chief Petty Officer Jeff Tabor.
The ceremony was created to remember all of those lost in WWII was well as veterans alike.

A gun salute was held Wednesday outside the Fleet Reserve Association Branch in Atlantic Beach to honor the 2,403 servicemen who died in the attack.

“I had to wait until I was 17 so I could get in and my dad had to sign for me”, Calhoun said.
There are just over 100 Pearl Harbor survivors left.
