The Virender Sehwag-Piers Morgan Twitter war had reached its boiling point with Morgan challenging the “Nawab of Najafgarh” to donate ₹1 million to charity if England win an ODI World Cup before India wins an Olympic gold medal. However, after Indian Twitter backlash and on realising his mistake, he immediately deleted it and replaced it with a new tweet where he replaced “an” with another.

Morgan some Google search is really important before Tweeting something. Realising that India have already won several Olympic golds in past, Morgan removed his post and retracted with “another Olympic gold medal” after getting trolled for his factual error.

This feud had started with Morgan mocking Indians for celebrating Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu’s spectacular achievement at the recently concluded Rio Olympics when Britain finished second on the medals tally.

In process, he hit British TV anchor Piers Morgan out of the park as well.

Responding to Sehwag’s jibe, Mogan admitted that it was embarassing that England have not won a Cricket World Cup till now.

Sehwag wrote on his tweeter handle ” We cherish every small happiness’, But Eng who invented Cricket, &yet2win a WC, still continue to playWC.Embarrassing?

Morgan accepted that England’s situation was indeed embarrassing and argued that Kevin Pietersen’s absence from the team was the cause of it.

Piers went on backfoot after Sehwag’s tweet and said that a country should only be celebrating coming first in an event. “Why hv prblm wid our ppl, celbrtng” [sic]. And next day, Piers Morgan took to twitter and went on to challenge Sehwag.
