Vitter a passenger in vehicle involved in crash
In accordance to WVUE, Sheriff Newell Normand stated he was meeting associates at a Metairie coffee shop when he caught Robert J. Frenzel listening in & recording them.
But the Sheriff’s Office asked the Vitter make himself available to give a statement about the incident to the investigating deputy.
The JPSO is regarded among the most technologically savvy in the state, and Normand said he hopes to continue advances seen through programs like automatic license plate readers. The man denied taping the group.

During the confrontation, Frenzel fled the scene, which prompted police to launched a search for him. He was released Friday evening. But Norman told the paper that a third-party who is not part of the conversation is prohibited from doing so.
