Vladimir Putin showers the “bright and talented” Donald Trump with praise
Russian President Vladimir Putin had some high praise for GOP candidate Donald Trump during his annual press conference in Moscow.
“He is a very bright and talented man, no doubt about that”, said Putin, speaking after his annual press conference in Moscow on Thursday. “How can we not welcome that?”
“We say that the action of the Turkish authorities in regard to our aircraft, which they downed, was not an act of unfriendliness, but an act of hostility”, Putin said. He also noted that according to current polls and standings, Trump is the “absolute front-runner” in the American presidential race.
“It’s not up to us to judge his virtue”.
However, Putin also criticized USA foreign policy by saying the country “has never closed itself, ‘whoever the United States people elected'”.
Donald Trump has admitted in the past that he’s a bit of a Vladimir Putin fanboy.
Putin says Russian Federation and the US agree on the need to ensure work on a new constitution and create mechanisms of control over future elections. I would talk to him. “I’d get along with him”.
Earnest also said he didn’t have any particular thoughts about how a Trump administration would interact with Russian Federation.
When asked about the billionaire businessman’s crass personality, the Russian president said it is not his job to “assess tricks Donald Trump [is] using to boost his popularity”.
The leading U.S. Democratic presidential contender is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Putin applauded Trump as a “talented” and “very colorful” person that he would absolutely welcome as President of the United States of America.
Putin’s comments may be just as much as a thumb in the eye of British Prime Minister David Cameron as anything else. Maybe let Russian Federation do it. Let them get rid of ISIS.
‘Ultimately, I would like to come together and get this thing done, ‘ Trump added. Russian relations with Turkey, the Syrian and Ukrainian crises, as well as the U.S. presidential race were the highlights of the 3-hour long marathon attended by 1,400 journalists.
Putin said Moscow supports the USA draft of a U.N. Security Council resolution on Syria.
