Volkswagen stock to be removed from Dow Jones Sustainability indices
Volkswagen AG stock will be removed from the Dow Jones Sustainability indexes after it admitted to cheating USA emissions tests earlier this month, Bloomberg reports. Wipro is included in both the DJSI World and Emerging Markets Indices. Fluor is the only North American company in its industry sector that made the list and one of only 126 US companies selected, according to a Fluor Corp. news release. DJSI is the longest-running global sustainability benchmark worldwide and the key reference point in sustainability investing for investors and companies alike.
DJSI selections are based on an in-depth analysis of a company´s economic, environmental and social practices including corporate governance, risk management, innovation, environmental management and strategy, supply-chain standards, and safety and labor practices.
The DJSI World has two subset indexes, which are the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World 80 and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World ex USA 80.
“The DJSI follow a best-in-class approach, including companies across all industries that outperform their peers in numerous sustainability metrics”.
